Exhibitions

Recently, there are really a lot of exhibitions..

I went to Singapore Garden Festival in Suntec with my SAA colleagues just now. The award winning landscapes were pretty impressive but i don't think i will go again next year. Anyway, i think this festival attracted a lot of people. Lawrenz told me that he would be going on Friday and I saw Sonny there too.

Oh ya.. During April, I told Hon Choo that I wanted to go Feng Zheng Jie Exhibition.. And she told me that Singapore Art Museum has free entry on Friday nights.. So happy to know this news! His paintings were very nice.. I heard they were super expensive.. Since i can't own them, seeing was ok too.. hee.. Actually pretty impressed by him.. He can whipped up such pretty paintings by just using the primary colours.. But like most people, i think the eyes of his paintings looked weird.. Though others might think it is artistic..

Then in May, it was International Museum Day so everyone in Singapore had free entry to all the museums.. Anyway, there was only 1 day so i couldn't be too greedy.. In the end, I went to see Xu Bei Hong Exhibition with Hon Choo.. This was another exhibition i wanted to see.. His Chinese paintings in Nanyang were very nice olden paintings.. I like a portrait of a young lady wearing Qi Pao.. Very detailed lines.. He drew portraits for those rich people in Nanyang to earn his study allowances in Europe.. But i think he might be more well-known for his horse paintings.. Coz dunno why, his horse paintings were featured everywhere..

Next, NATAS Fair will be held this weekend.. Not very sure whether i should go coz i need to buy birthday present for my mum anyway.. But I think it will be super crowded.. Think maybe i should just buy the present straight from the travel agency.. Hopefully my mum won't choose somewhere too expensive..

Lastly, when i went to Racheal's birthday celebration, Xiao Juan told me that there will be Comex Exhibition on 28 Aug in Suntec.. But i will be in Taipei by then.. So sad.. Wanted to buy camera.. Luckily can still ask Xiao Juan to buy for me.. At least will still have staff discount from Canon.. Hee..

Stage and shows!

More shows this month.. Last week, Racheal gave me free ticket to watch Kung Fu Panda.. Such a cute show.. Then me and racheal coincidentally went home to cook noodles after watching this show.. Coz in this show, the panda cooked noodles for the other animals.. Looked so delicious so made us felt like eating noodles that day.. Hee..

Last night, me went to support TPDE at The Big Groove 2008.. To me, this show is more interesting than last year.. Dunno whether it was because of the better seat this year.. The non-performer dancers went so early to queue.. Thats why even i reached quite late, i managed to get a good seat..

Oh ya.. Just bought the Bboyz & Ballerina tickets.. A show starting in Esplanade end of this month.. About a ballerina fall in love with a bboyz and start to learn the dance.. Hopefully it will be a nice show :)

Zhang Dong Liang Concert 2008

Went for Nicholas Teo Concert at Suntec last Sat. Warner Music gave me complimentary tickets.. Though it was last row, i am still thankful to watch a free concert..

This concert was so quite "innovative".. They actually gave free biscuits and newspaper after the concert. So cute.. But Sam said i am spoiling my image coz i took the freebies.. hee..

The guest artiste for this concert is Faye from FIR.. But dunno why she only sang half a song.. I thought usually guest artiste will sing more than 1 song.. Hon Choo thinks that she didn't sing up to her expectation. Maybe it was the song problem..

Oh ya.. Should mention about Nicholas's performance too. I think he did well in those slow songs.. And he tried new stuff like singing various songs in different languages.. Hon Choo said the photos slideshow looked like wedding dinner slideshow.. But i think it was fine.. I remembered seeing this kind of slideshow in Jay Chow's concert too..

To end it off, i was glad to watch his concert coz i realised he is a nice person after I organised the campus concert for him.. My observation - Polite and friendly guy...

Musical & Play

This week is a cultural week. Watched "We will rock you" on Wed and watch "Hamlet" on Thurs.

We decided to buy the tickets for "We will rock you" on Wed itself. Coz of the tip by the poster boy from Band (named by Hon Choo) , we bought the restricted view tickets at 5 plus. That day the theatre was less than half filled, so if we buy restricted view, we will be upgraded to those super good seats. We saved so much money. All thanks to Cynthia and the poster boy who worked part time in Esplanade.

But to watch this on Wed was really super rush for us coz Hon Choo and Cynthia both had meetings so by the time we reached Esplanade, the show almost started. Thus during the interval, i suggested to makan. Though Cynthia suggested to eat Mrs Field, i objected to it coz i really don't like biscuits, cakes or sandwiches as dinner. Thus we ran to a Jap restaurant and eat sushi. Super rush. We just took whatever we saw on the sushi belt and ate without sauces at the beginning coz we really got no time to wait. In less than 10 mins time, we called for bill and ran back to the theatre. Surprisingly, we are quite early. Not many people was inside the theatre yet. Btw, we even visited the washroom before we went in. So fast right? We were so impressed with ourselves.

On Thurs, Sam offered us free tickets to "Hamlet". Sheena was so poor thing. When we were walking towards our dinner place, a waiter opened a bar's door and knocked onto Sheena's head. She got a cut and lump after that. We should have sued him for "disfiguring" our "Xiao Hua".

Oh ya, we saw Dawn at the Jubilee Hall. She paid $83 for the tickets. So expensive. Thanks to Sam, we watched it for free. Though I changed my seat at the 2nd half and that blocked seat really made people feel like sleeping, i still enjoyed this show.

Oops... I know this is not related to my title but i still want to say this. So sickening. Don't know who complained me. The security guard issued me a warning letter to say that i cannot park my car overnight in TP. So angry! Also, dunno why the car got additional 2 cracks in front. Made me even more upset. What is wrong with these people?!

Edison Chen

I supposed this is the hot topic of the month. Almost everyday i can see a new article about him in the newspaper. What is so interesting about this news? Faint. He is so poor thing.. Got all these attentions just because he is a celebrity.

Anybody can remember the article about that NYP girl who did the same thing? I cannot even remember her looks.

Of course, I pitied the girls who got involved in this Edison’s issue. But no choice, they allowed him to take the photos so this is part of their fault too. Though if i am the girl, i probably will get into heavy depression state. Especially the girl who got dumped by her future millionaire hubby.

Come to think of it, i don’t blame Edison too. He is young mah. Young people always think that this is interesting stuff to try. Even Cao Ge also admitted to the press that he did it when he was young.

Why do people keep blaming Edison for this? Is not him who distributed the photos what.. Is that stupid repairman who dun have any ethics. If the girls want to sue, they should sue that repairman and not Edison right? Faint.

What are all the people thinking? Edison never try to keep a good guy image what.. I thought everyone should know that he is a bad boy.. Even his blog or is it his friendster showed this trail right? But I must say he is quite clever.. He actually only promised to leave Hong Kong entertainment circle.. That’s a good move.. He can sing in Taiwan or act in Hollywood.. No big deal mah.. Heehee..

Oh ya.. I must comment on his clothing company too.. Quite famous leh.. Some of the local artistes mentioned that it is stylish to wear that brand.. Clot from Juice lah.. Hee..

Ok ok.. I shouldn't say too much.. My colleagues keep saying i siding Edison coz i met him in Hong Kong before. Actually come to think of it, maybe that’s the actual reason.. Hee.. I am pretty impressed by him when i met him at the wax museum in Hong Kong.. He was doing a shooting for MTV channel.. Such a charming ABC.. No wonder so many girls like him :)

Lastly, i really think that i looked terrible in this photo.. Faint!

p.s. again, wanted to add on to my blog in Feb.. Besides those sweet colleagues mentioned, i must pen down that Yeuan Huei and Terence also very sweet! They borrowed cutter from Engineering School to cut off the dropping body kit from my car.. Thanks!

Good Day or Bad Day?

Very long never touch my blog but today is a day to note down something.

We went Giant to buy steamboat stuff. Usually my parking not very good, so i asked Sheena to help me park my car. And guess what, she knocked down the car's body kit. Faint.. Think i have to starve myself for a year (not exaggerating coz canteen food is cheap) in order to fix back. Though Sheena offered to pay for my repair but i also pai sei to take coz is me who asked her to help me park the car. Today no mood to do anything. Too sad..

What make it worst is that Sam called me to tell me that my car's headlights are still on! The battery is going to be flat tomorrow. Sob..

But the happy thing is i got very sweet colleagues. Sam drove all the way to my house to fetch me so that i can go back and off the headlights. But before i got onto the car, Kyle called. Another kind hearted soul. He called to tell me about the headlights too. He said even if i go back, also no use coz the batteries would be flat by now. He offered to help me charge the battery tomorrow.

At least the day is not so bad after all.

p.s. I love my boyfriend coz he just complained a while but never kill me.. heehee..

Welcoming Year 2008

Oops.. This is my first time writing blog.. Wondering if there is a standard format coz i never read other people's blog before.. Ok ok.. Maybe i read just once or twice.. Hee.. Looking back the year 2007, i think i really had a great year then.. Everything was going so well..

Firstly, I had my excellent (though traumatizing then) lasik surgery! The doctor tried to force open my eyelids.. When the doctor asked the nurse to apply suction, my eyes blacked out suddenly for a few seconds.. That was the scariest part of the surgery.. The laser part not so scary coz only got buring smell and i was daydreaming that time.. so i assumed it must be not painful at all.. Hee.. But till now, i am still very glad that i chose to do lasik.. No regrets at all.. My vision is so comfortable and clear now.. I dun need to wake up early to wear contact lenses and won’t fell asleep with my dirty lenses.

Secondly, i cut my super long hair for the 1st time in my life (previous 2 times not counted coz forced by my mum when i was young).. Very pleased with the bob look now.. Haven't received any bad comments from anyone yet so i assumed everyone like it too!

Okay.. i think i have written enough big things.. coz the rest are all small happy stuff (such as driving alone for 1st time, bought a new rollerblade even though i dunno how to blade, went my favourite country - Japan, never ending shopping, sweet stuff from my lovely colleagues and students, found that facebook is actually an interesting program to kill time, realised that all my friends are happy, etc etc...) that i think i shouldn’t elaborate too much to bore everyone.. Hee..

I believe 2008 will be an even better year for me!
